Fed: Governor-General to visit London, Singapore

Governor-General MICHAEL JEFFERY will hold his first meeting with the Queen in London
next month since taking office.

A statement from Government House says Major General JEFFERY and his wife MARLENA will
visit London and then Singapore.

In London, the Governor-General will call on the Queen and meet officials, business
leaders and young Australians studying in the United Kingdom.

He will also lay a wreath at the new Australian War Memorial.

Major General JEFFERY will leave Australia for London on February 29, then travel to
Singapore, arriving on March 7 before returning home on March 10.
